This "star" is made of nylon (kind of plastic) which exhibits exceptional strength, toughness, and wear resistance.
INSTALLATION:
The ease of fitting the new “star”-base, depends on how easily you can remove the old "star" from the chair suspension. Usually, suspensions get stuck in their "star" socket after many years of use, and you need to tap the old "star" evenly with a hammer to dislodge it from the suspension. Then simply clip the new “star” onto the suspension and the chair is ready for use.
